—  visit us  —

for tours, tasting, and sales

We always have several wines available for sampling; the $8 tasting fee covers the cost of the tasting as well as a souvenir wine glass for each person. We have a diverse selection of wines: dry whites, dry reds, semi-sweet and fruit wines. We also offer small blocks of artisan cheeses produced Goot Essa for sale. Our gift shop features works by several local artists and artisans.

For large groups (6 or more), picnics or events, please call in advance, so we can accommodate you more comfortably.

We are members of the Frederick Wine Trail.  To find our neighbors, check out www.Frederickwinetrail.com.

Note:  We are not actually located in the city of Mt. Airy.  Liberty Road is also known as Rte. 26, which runs from Frederick City to Baltimore, parallel to Rte. 70, and about 7 miles North of Mt. Airy.

From Bethesda/Washington, DC: Take 270 North to Exit 16, Father Hurley Blvd, which becomes Rte 27 towards Damascus. Proceed through Damascus and Mt Airy and continue for another 7 miles or so. Turn left at the intersection with Rte 26 (Liberty Rd.). (There is a gas station and a traffic light at this intersection.) Proceed 5 miles, slowing down (but not turning) when you see the sign for Albaugh Rd. Our entrance is 1/10th of a mile from that point, on the left.

From Baltimore: Drive west (towards Frederick) on Rte 70. Exit at Rte. 27 (Mt. Airy), bearing right. Continue about 7 miles to the intersection with Rte 26. Follow the above directions from that point.

From Frederick: Drive east on Rte 26 straight to the winery. From the light in Libertytown, we are 3.5 miles, on the right hand (South) side of Liberty Rd.

From Howard County:  Drive west on Rte. 70 to exit for Rte. 32.  Go North on Rte. 32 to Rte. 26 (Liberty Rd.).  Turn left on Rte. 26, proceed west about 12 miles.  As noted above, we are located on Rte. 26, 5 miles west of the junction of Rte. 27 with Rte. 26, just past the sign for Albaugh Rd.

From Prince Georges County: Take Rte 97 (Georgia Avenue) north to Rte 26 (Liberty Rd.) Turn left on Rte 26 (the sign directs you to Taylorsville). Continue west on Rte 26 to the winery, which will be on your left. (See above directions from Bethesda.)
